Attachment Style
Attachment is about how we handle closeness: how easily we lean on people, and how much we worry about where we stand with them. Researchers measure it on two scales rather than sorting people into types, and most of us sit somewhere different with different people.
You'll rate 27 short statements: 9 about close relationships in general, 9 about a romantic partner and 9 about your best friend. If you're not in a relationship, answer the partner questions for your most recent meaningful one, or imagine what one would be like. About four minutes.
Questions from the ECR-RS (Fraley, Heffernan, Vicary & Brumbaugh, 2011), used with Chris Fraley's permission. Attachment patterns differ across relationships and change over time; this is self-reflection, not a clinical assessment. Your answers stay in this browser.
